Nearly half of the companies in this year's Rising 25 are first-timers.: Accumark, Alloy Polymers, Core Consulting, Elevation, Interactive Financial, Ironworks Consulting, Keiter Slabaugh Penny & Holme, Peterbilt of Richmond, Shamin Hotels, South River Compounding Pharmacy, TWG Portals and University Instructors. Rising 25 companies must be privately held and independent, based in the Richmond metropolitan area, operate for a profit, have at least a five-year sales history and have sales more than $200,000 in 2001, the base year. They must also have an increase in revenue from 2004 to 2005. Now in its 17th year, the Rising 25 measures the fastest growing privately held companies in the Richmond area. It is sponsored by KPMG, the Greater Richmond Chamber and the Richmond Times-Dispatch. The fastest growing company will be named Jan. 25. |
